[2014]Flames Cup Rules

IUCSSA

由Flames主办，IUCSSA协办的14校篮球联赛就在本周末。本次比赛除了来自十四个学校篮球少年们以及IUB元老级球队Flames，更有新组成的IU华人联队首秀试手。以下是各项规则细节以及时间安排：

A tournament game will consist of two-16 minute halves.

Game time is game time – Games may start early if both teams agree. Each team will be allowed a minimum of 5 minutes to warm-up if game before runs over.

Halftime – 3 Minutes. May be shortened by Tournament Director if necessary.

Forfeits- Teams will be given a grace period of ten (10) minutes after the start of the game to arrive. If a team does not have at least four players present at the end of the grace period, they will forfeit the game and the opposing team will be awarded a 20-point win.

Time Outs – Each team will be allowed two full 60-second timeouts per half.

Head Coach and Players may call timeout.

First Half Running Clock

Second Half Running Clock –The clock will run the second half if the deficit is more than 25 points with the exception of timeouts. Once the lead is below 25, clock will stop again on all dead balls.

Bonus starts on 8th team foul every half.

Overtime – All overtime periods will be three (3) minutes. Each team will receive one (1) additional full timeout for the overtime period. Unused timeouts from the second half maybe carried over to the overtime period. Unused timeouts granted for overtime periods may not be carried over to additional overtime periods.

Pool Play – Seeding into Tournament

Seeding for tournament will be determined as follows:

1. Seeding will be determined using the highest accumulated winning margin during pool play. The most points credited for a win is +20, and for a loss –20.

2. In the case of a two-way tie, the first tie-breaker is head-to-head competition.

3. In the case of a two or three way tie seeding will be determined by Points Allowed, the total number of points scored by the opposing teams during Pool Play. The team allowing the least points will receive the higher seed.

4. If there is still a tie, a coin-toss will be used to determine tournament seeds.

Coach / Fan Behavior

1. Any coach or player receiving two technical fouls in a game MUST leave the gym and facility. He/she cannot be present at the next game. A second game ejection will result in the player or coach being banned for the remainder of the tournament.

2. Any fan asked to leave a game, is banned for the remainder of the tournament.

3. Coaches are responsible for team and fan behavior.
