[2008]some inquiry about life in bloomington.

Dear Fellas,

I'll live in Campus Walk plantation North. I guess probably some of you have been there. I really wanna inquire sth with you folks:

1. How to open an account of electricity?  I was told to call Duke company before I move in. Anyone did it?  I'm lazy so I wish to do that after I move in. But in that case I'm afraid I may come without any electricity in the room. Is it that case?

2. As for cable+internet, my landlord suggest me to use a package including high speed internet and DirecTV satellite television.  These services are provided by Jest Technologies, a Bloomington- based company.  The monthly technology fee of $65. I can include this amount in the rent check each month.  I can also pick up a satellite box to hook-up your television.  Did anyone have idea of that? I'm more familiar with comcast though.

3. How about the cellphone there? I'm contemplating which one I should choose. AT&T, Sprint or T-mobile?  I'm considering those factors, like coverage, signal quality, price, after service convenience( is there any store of these companies?), etc.  Also, if someone just opened an account and got the referral qualification, could you let me know?
